When I’m away from school, the sadness returns

July 26, 2009

From Evangeline:

I have been told that my difficulty sleeping could be caused by fear and an inability to trust in the process of life, which describes me to the max.  In my adolescence I was painfully shy and insecure and isolated, though I yearned to have friends.  I am a very social person so it was like I was starving.  I constantly lived with the feeling that I didn’t have enough of things that I wanted and needed.  Now I’m in college and it’s a world of incredible social abundance.  I have never been so happy in my entire life.  When I am actually at school, I sleep great.  My problem is…that all those years of sadness are still affecting me.  I worry that I still give off desperation sometimes and especially when I’m away from school I start think in a way that emphasizes limitation and lack.  So I guess…how can I trust the universe, and how can make myself whole?

I have tried affirmations and loving myself, and…I still have this problem.

From Inspirations from Binah:

Though your question asks about making yourself whole, it is possible that your feelings of fear and sadness are not coming from you. When you are at school, you are starting with a clean slate both energetically and emotionally. You have found an environment where you can thrive and realize the abundance of life around you. After so many years of sleepless night at home, the negative energy of fear and inability to trust can be trapped in the physical space and must be released. Just as you have worked on clearing your emotional energy, now it is time to clear the physical.

Start by clearing any physical objects that trigger negative thoughts. If your sheets remind you of restless nights, then get new sheets. Clean the space thoroughly and remove any items that are broken, unused or bring back strong memories of unhappy times.

When this is done, get a fire-proof bowl (preferably one made out of oven-safe material). Put about half a cup of Epsom salt in the bottom and enough alcohol to wet it, but not enough to create a pool. Use the rubbing alcohol that is greater than 85% by volume (70% will not work). Put this in the center of the room, away from any other objects, and light it on fire. Let this burn out completely, purifying the room.

Next, set a strong intention to clear the energy and grab a smudge stick or other clearing incense/resin of your choice – some options are sage, Palo Santo and Dragon’s Blood; use the one that calls to you. Light the stick and as the smoke starts to rise, start at the top of your head and move the stick all the way around and down your body clockwise. When you have cleared yourself, start at the closest corner to the north and move clockwise fanning the smoke so it touches the walls. Go through the entire area while reciting an affirmation of your choice, for example, “I clear all negative energy from this space and bless it with divine love and light.”

Keep the area clear with fresh flowers, crystals and/or candles. Work with your Higher Self to find the combination that works for you. You can also travel with a little kit so you can clear any room where you will be spending the night. With a clear space you will find that the issues of the past fade away allowing you to continue focusing on the positivity you have found.

I recently broke my wrist, what does it mean?

July 13, 2009

From Alina:

I recently broke my wrist and I wanted to know more about the reason this happened.  I understand I am to slow down and yet I feel there is more to it than that.  I was wondering what you thought…thank you very much

Inspirations from Binah:

The manifestation of a physical injury can be a wake-up call when we’ve ignored other types of messages.  Wrists, and joints in general, are associated to Binah, the great mother of Understanding, so it is appropriate that you are searching for an in-depth understanding of what the break means and coming to Inspirations from Binah for help.  Taken on a more personal level, the wrist could symbolize that there is a break in your understanding of some important topic in your life.  Not only do you have to slow down, but you must listen to the silence in order to understand what you are being told.

To uncover the deeper meaning of this accident, go back and look at all the symbols that came before and what continues to come now?  Start with the past…  meditate on your injury and ask your Higher Self to show you what else it is related to.  Within the safety of a meditative state, be specific in stating that you do not want to relive any negativity, only understand what you missed.

When you have understood the past, look at the present.  What messages continue to come?  Ask your Higher Self again to clearly show what you are supposed to see while keeping you safe from anything that cause you injury.  The stronger your link to your Higher Self, the easier it will be to decipher the messages.

Take your time in working through your understanding.  Just as it will take weeks for your physical injury to heal, it will take time for your to uncover your spiritual understanding.  Work with your Higher Self to create a communication bond so that you can receive messages more efficiently.  The answers you seek have already been given, all you have to do is listen.

How is my current state of consciousness perceived?

April 1, 2009

From Travis:

A little over 2 years ago, I reached a point on my spiritual path that I recognized as an internal threshold.  I was able to glimpse the potentiality that traversing this threshold offered and it became apparent to me that realizing this potentiality was ultimately a matter of making a conscious choice.  Ever since my first encounter with this aspect of my being, I have been in a “holding pattern” that over time has depleted my internal resources.  One realization I have had as a result of this period of deterioration is that there seems to be a distinction between the vessel (mind/body/personality etc.) and the consciousness that occupies that vessel.  On some levels of my being, there is an impulse to regress to previous states of consciousness during which my “vessel” was more empowered and yet was equally as in need of transmutation as it is currently.  What I’m essentially wondering is how my current state of consciousness is perceived by The Spirits, particularly with regard to the state of the “vessel” as I’ve attempted to describe it above, and am also interested in any acknowledgement of my path that they are able to provide as a way to rekindle my faith.  Any insights you could offer would be greatly appreciated.

Inspirations from Binah:

It can be de-motivating when you find that your ‘vessel’ is not in the peak condition you believe it should be. Body issues, emotional traumas and negative personality traits take control of even the most enlightened consciousness and leave you feeling like you are stuck in place. Yet separating your vessel from your Spirit is doing you a great disservice. You are one being, made up of many difference components, put on this Earth to manifest your life purpose. Part of that purpose is how you work through the challenges of your physical existence. Take a step back and instead of trying to tackle your ‘vessel’ as one giant block, break it into little chunks you can work through. Discard that which does not serve you and make a list of what you feel is most important. Take your time with each one, thinking through what must be done, planning the steps and acting with confidence. With each accomplishment, your internal resources will be replenished.

There is no timeline for your personal development. What may feel like a step backwards, may actually be a step forward in a new lesson you need to learn. Stop for a minute and take a look around. Do you see all that you have accomplished… all that you have learned? While you thought you were standing still, in reality you were working through a lesson and acquiring skills on the connection between the physical and spiritual. Take that lesson into meditation and ask your spirit guides to lead you to the next path of your journey. It may seem obscure, but you will find that you’ve been going the right direction all along.

What is the pineal gland used for?

March 28, 2009

From Yancey:

I’m curious about the use of the pineal gland on a metaphysical level. What is the pineal gland used for?

Inspirations from Binah:

In a biological sense, the pineal gland is a small gland located in the vertebrae brain. It produces melatonin, a hormone that affects the modulation of wake/sleep patterns. The interesting thing about the pineal gland cells are that they have a strong resemblance to photoreceptor cells in the eye. Some scientists even think that they share common evolutionary ancestors with retinal cells.

This takes us into new realms as to its exact function in the body. What if the pineal gland provides the link between our physical and spiritual worlds? One common belief is that the pineal gland is the point of connection between the intellect and the body. Given the cell makeup, there is evidence that it links the eyes to the third eye, in both a spiritual and physical sense. Exploring from there, you can imagine the connections to be made between our spiritual and physical processes of seeing and feeling.

Many of these theories manifests themselves through the DNA Activation. When you fill the codons with light, you activate the cells of the pineal gland. Biology tells us that when we expose the pineal gland to light, we can set off a reaction that affects circadian rhythms. When you activate this gland, we wake up dormant sections of our physical system and allow them to reconnect to Spirit.

To truly understand the pineal gland, or any other part of our anatomy, we have only to ask our Higher Self for guidance. You may be pointed to a book, website or given an internal message, but the knowledge will manifest. Use external sources for information and then bring them to your guidance for confirmation. Learning how to trust your Higher Self will unlock levels of knowledge you never thought possible.
