My partner is pulling me down, should I go?

April 27, 2011

Alisa asks:

I have two children with a man whom I love very much.  He has spent the last 12 years in extreme turmoil. I have tried to part ways many times, but continue to get back with him because I love him as a person. However, he pulls me down very much. He is mentally ill and unstable and refuses evaluation or any alternative therapy. He is depressed and very passive about his life. Recently, I was admitted into the University and I am planning on moving to another state in a few months. He said he wants to come and support us there, but I need a new start and I know he really doesn’t want to go because he has no drive to find work. He has a very kind heart, but does nothing for himself but work in a  liquor store. He is functioning at a very low vibration and doesn’t want to help himself. I have tried so hard to nurture his relationship with the children because they love him, but I am seeing how the depression is making us all feel low and down in the dumps. I need some wholesome advice on how I can work this out. I fear he should stay here and we should go alone.

Inspirations from Binah replies:

While your emotional center sets the direction toward love, which can sometimes feel like a random choice with no foundation, your mind provides the checks and balances needed to understand that love.  Language limits our ability to comprehend all the different types of love that can be experienced, making it seem as if the feelings we feel for another person outside of our family can only be categorized as ‘romantic’ or ‘friendship’.  The truth is there are many other levels, each one providing lessons and experiences necessary for your evolutionary journey.

After 12 years with this man, your mind understands all the pros and cons of staying with him.  If he comes with you to your new city, you will continue to repeat the existing pattern, for you cannot expect another to change.  If you can find acceptance, joy and growth in this pattern, then your answer is simple: he should go with you.  But if you continue to feel that he is bringing down the vibration of the entire family, then you must realize that if you remain with him, you are not only holding back your personal growth, you are teaching your children that this is the best they can expect out of life.

That being said, there was a reason you were joined together in love, giving you an opportunity to reach a new level of knowledge through the journey you have walked together.  Sometimes it takes Understanding in order to receive the full Wisdom of an experience and move on to the next.  Shift your focus onto identifying and understanding the love you share today, releasing the need to believe that it must be the love of a partner and opening yourself to accepting that this love may be a vibration meant to bring your children into the world and provide you with strength and compassion you could only acquire through your union.

In your quiet Sanctuary, ask your Higher Self to take you on a spiritual journey through this relationship.  Begin with where and how you met, asking your Higher Self to play the entire video of the last 12 years and pausing where a new lesson was learned.  Take note of each time you learned something about yourself, each time you shed a layer of your ego or prejudices or weaknesses.  Create this list, and when you are done, ask your Higher Self if there is still more to learn in order to find the balance between your emotions and your intellect.  Your Higher Self can tell you if this story should continue, are you ready to accept the answer?

How can I explore my unconscious self?

January 22, 2011

Read Inspirations from Binah in Whispers of Spirit

Featured in Winter Solstice issue of Whispers of Spirit.

From Narissa:

My partner and I are going through some very big changes. We recently acquired a large property which we are in the process of converting into a multi-performance artist space. We are both artists ourselves, so this is a dream come true.

The problem is, I feel like we have no mechanisms for understanding where we are emotionally and spiritually through this transition. Neither one of us likes Tarot, nor many of the tools for connecting to personal energy… at least we haven’t found anything we like. We’d ideally like something that not only shows us where we are, but also helps us stay healthy. Our world is full of color and shapes, turning random stuff people give us into works of art. Any suggestions on what we can use to tune in?

Inspirations from Binah:

In reading your message, one simple word comes to mind: Mandalas.  Combining Sacred Geometry and Color, mandalas provide a way to focus energy, evaluate where you are, and heal.

The word mandala is Sanskrit for circle.  All of its design fits within this powerful shape, starting from the center point and pushing out to its completion.  It is a window to the unconscious, a sacred space to explore without bounds.  With each layer of color, you project your innermost feelings, enabling you to see and correct imbalances.

There are many designs available, but with your artist backgrounds, you should be encouraged to create your own mandalas.  Begin with a blank page or canvas.  Create a circle of any size; this is your outermost border, but not necessarily a part of your design.  Mandalas can be created with any shape, each expressing something different.  Refrain from using color just yet, now is the time to allow Sacred Geometry to be your language.  Starting from the center point, allow your artistry to take form.

When you are done, take a minute to meditate on the shapes you have drawn.  Do they feel balanced?  Do you have more curved/feminine lines representing a need to process or straight/masculine lines representing a need to act?  What do you find in your meditation on these shapes?

The next phase is the coloring portion.  Starting again from the center, choose each color with your eyes closed.  Let your creativity take over and guide the process, this is the best way to connect with your unconscious self.  Once you are done, meditate on your final piece.  What do you feel?

If you hit a point where you do not understand what you are supposed to learn from the mandala you have created, you can bring your mind into your processing by consciously applying your knowledge of color and geometry interpretations.  There are several websites and books which you can refer to that talk about the basic definitions of each shape and color.  Starting with an intuitive interpretation, and then enhancing it with a more intellectual approach, will open gateways to emotions and thoughts locked deep within.

Mandalas can be created when you feel you need them or even as a daily exercise.  Just like some people pull a single Tarot card every morning to understand the energy for the day, you can use a mandala in the same way.  When you need to work through a very specific energy, choose a prepared design and let the coloring-in process be your therapy.  You will be amazed at how much you can learn about yourself with each work of art you create.

I am in love, I feel trapped, I need to move on…

November 18, 2010

From Dwayne:

I have a problem and I am seeking some advise. I’m in love with this woman and six months ago I moved way up north to work for the government. She keeps telling me we will be together soon but all she does is drink and party all the time. She doesn’t work and hasn’t worked for many years. She expects me to pay her bills and send her money everyday. We are not married nor do we have children together. I’m confused, I feel trapped, and really ultimately I want to let her go with unconditional love and move on with my life. Any advise in this matter would be soo appreciated and grateful for.

Inspirations from Binah:

Cutting the cords from a relationship is often very difficult. Through the years, we create bonds that are mixed with emotion, expectations and hope. It is good that you recognize the need to move on, for there is no way you are going to change her behavior. Now is the time to focus on your personal healing and growth.

Begin by consciously choosing to cut the etheric bonds. Create a sacred space and call upon your Higher Self to guide you. Use Jasmin or Nag Champa incense to invoke love energy. Your goal is not to hurt her, but to gently step away from the relationship. Place the incense before you and using the index and middle finger of your right hand, cut the cords that connect you. Take it slow, scanning for any energetic attachments. When you feel one, swipe your fingers across them in a decisive cutting motion. Once all the cords are severed, smudge yourself with the incense to cleanse and heal the cuts. Ask your Higher Self and guardian angels to help you through this healing process, transforming the pain into unconditional love from the purest source.

Even after the attachments are severed, there are going to be moments of longing. The relationship took time to grow, and it will take time to transform into a beautiful memory. Use Flower Essences to help you through this time of transition. Make a tincture using a combination of: Beech – Centaury – Chestnut Bud – Heather – Pine – Star of Bethlehem

To make the tincture, fill a 30ml application bottle with fresh water. Add between two to four drops of each essence. Take 4 or so drops on the tongue several times a day (minimum of four) until you have consumed the bottle. You can repeat the process a second time if you need more to get you through it, changing the combination of essences used if you feel called to do so.

In time, your memories of the relationship will bring a feeling of joy and the understanding that what once was, can no longer be. In is in that moment, that you will spread your wings and once again take flight, fully open to the endless possibilities before you.

Can faith expunge the desire?

September 3, 2010

Last night, I asked the Universe for a sign.  I thought I was being very deliberate in my words, stating exactly what I need to see.  This morning an answer arrived, but it leaves me more perplexed.  The confusion does not arise from my mind, it comes from my heart.  My mind is set.  It sees the landscape and understands the road ahead, thought it is not attached to the destination, but the heart is not so easily swayed.  It holds tight to its desires.

So where is my faith?  Faith is a strong belief in a power beyond your own.  Faith says that no matter what happens, I believe it is what is best.  You see, I have faith, but the heart is trying to undermine my resolve.  Cords to expectations have been cut, the mind has released hope, but the heart still desires.  It desires something that cannot be right now.  I have faith that patiently continuing on this path will lead to happiness, though I do not know what that happiness looks like, but if faith tells me this is the right path, then why does desire create so much doubt?

And there lies my confusion.  Together, the mind and heart work to balance the emotions.  The thing is, which one is right?  Is my heart is telling me that what I desire is what I should go after, or should I trust my mind which says that right now what I desire is not for me?  Faith attempts to create a layer of peace, but the tug-o-war between the heart and mind has the emotions running overtime.  One minute, the mind’s logic calms the waters and continues forward movement, and the next the heart’s desires take over causing rough seas that suspend all travel.

The questions I ask myself are:

“How do you tell if the desire is a warning flag vs. a cord that must be cut?”

and

“If there is faith that the path is right, is there a way to expunge the desire?”

I gather up my tools, set my sacred space and call in my Higher Self:

  • Gardenia incense burns, sending my questions to the Universe and asking for revelation of new knowledge.
  • Snowflake Obsidian soothes so that I may clearly see cords to patterns of behavior that may need to be cut.
  • Unikite provides balance between emotions and spirituality, gently releasing conditions that inhibit spiritual and psychological growth.
  • Carnelian grounds me into the present reality and imparts an acceptance of the cycle of life.
  • Lapis Lazuli releases stress, brings deep peace and harmonizes physical, emotional, mental and spiritual levels.
  • Stone from Montserrat to ground and integrate all I receive.

Into meditation I go, open to all that will be revealed.  May the answers dispel the doubt and reinforce my faith…

· Stone from Montserrat to ground and integrate all I receive.

Fear is holding me in place, what do I do?

July 21, 2010

From Maggie:

I have a goal. I have had this goal for a really long time, but I just can’t seem to get there. I don’t know what to do. When I try to do something toward my goal, I get so scared that I run back to what I already know, which is in the opposite direction of my goal. How to I get over the fear and trust in the path the Universe has set for me?

Inspirations from Binah:

The astrological configuration of the planets at this moment in time is bringing much fear into our energy field; that which once seemed fun and exciting is wrapped in a thick layer of anxiety. Knowing this physical predisposition will help you overcome it – for when you acknowledge what is before you, can choose the best tool to surpass it.

Begin by cleansing your physical self with herbs. You can choose sage or lemongrass for this work, lettings its smoke circle your body as you visualize this fearful energy dissipating. Chanting a simple phrase, such as “I call upon the powers of the Universe to transmute all fear energy into productive energy to be used toward reaching my goal”, will further direct your will.

Once you are clear, it is time to specify what help you need from the Universe. Many times, attention is placed on the final destination, but it is the path to get there that you seek. Stand within your sacred space, light a single candle in your hands, and as you stare into the flame, ask the Universe to reveal the entrance to the path and how to begin your journey. You need only discover your first step in order to dislodge the planetary glue that is holding you in place.

Over the next week, trust that the Universe is revealing how to get to your goal and consciously look for the signs. Use all your senses, for the answer may come through physical and spiritual mediums. Look to your Higher Self or personal oracling tools to confirm what you are receiving. With the goal in mind and your focus on the path, soon you will find the map. All that is required is to start walking.

How do I embrace faith?

June 10, 2010

From Michele:

I want to release my fears and embrace faith, but how?

Inspirations from Binah:

There are fears all around us, haunting our every move. In some cases they provide valuable information about what lurks behind an unseen corner, but in most cases, they come from a lack of clarity on what we are supposed to accomplish in this lifetime. Compound that with every negative emotion you have ever had, and soon your suitcases are filled with enough fear that you can barely carry them around.

Every day you wake up, open your eyes and look around at what the day will bring. In that moment of unconscious thought, you make a choice to live. And since that choice is unconscious, you forget to make the next most important choice… HOW to live. To release that baggage and live the life you want, you have three steps to take:

Go into meditation or dreamtime and explore what you are here on this planet to accomplish. Let your mind wander without bounds and list everything you love. Think about who you are today and who you wish to become tomorrow. Avoid censorship or concerns over what is possible, let only your most empowered self speak. Be patient and give yourself all the time you need to create this list. Once you feel that you have it, that you truly know what you are here to do, set it aside and take the second step.

Go back into meditation or dreamtime and explore all that holds you back from accomplishing the list above. Once again release all censorship and be brutally honest with yourself. This list is for you alone, so include every incident and feeling that comes to mind. Be extensive in your search for fears, but do not relive them. Write them down as if you were making an inventory before shipping them away.

With your two lists in hand, it is time to take the final step. Take your list of fears and find their antithesis. List, one by one, what feeling you would replace each fear with in order to eradicate it. You can create affirmations with your new words, embed them into symbols that you place in your home, or charge crystals with these powerful emotions. Pick any tool in your toolbox that will act as a constant reminder of the courage you now have. With that task complete, in sacred ritual, burn away all the old fears and scatter the ashes across the earth so that they may be transmuted into fuel for your healing.

With your final two lists, all you want to accomplish and your words with moxie, you have released all the fears and are consciously choosing to embrace faith… faith that you can accomplish what you want in your highest and best good.

How do I push past my environment?

June 9, 2010

From Pharaoh:

I have in mind to do something, but my environment will not allow me. How do I go about it?

Inspirations from Binah:

Taking the first step towards a new goal is always the hardest. It usually requires the faith that no matter the outcome, it was what had to be done. Before you can move forward, you have to create an environment that will bring you success. You have the power to manifest all that you desire as long as you are willing to make any necessary sacrifices.

Look around you right now and see what keeps you from moving onto this new path. Feel the cords that hold you in place and consciously decide that you are ready for them to be cut. Use your tools to create a sacred, protected space for you to do this work. Invoke your guardians to watch over you and give you strength during this ritual. Feel the entire area fill with light within an enclosed barrier of safety.

Stand facing the East and call upon the energy of source to illuminate the cords that bind. Use a purba, athame or just your hand to cut through each cord as you release its hold on you. Ask for Archangel Michael to charge your cuts so that they are swift and clean, then call in Archangel Rafael to heal the wounds. Once you feel yourself free and healing, take a physical step forward and call in Archangel Gabriel to bring you a divine message that will guide your forward motion. Sit down and go into meditation with this message, grounding it into your being. The fog will lift and you will find the path within your previously hostile environment. There is only one last thing for you to do… take action!

Close out the ritual by thanking and releasing all the beings that have provided their wisdom and energy. Know that from now on, each step you take is on this new path. You have all the power required to be successful, release your fears and embrace faith – be the action you wish to see.

I think I need help, I’m stuck

January 28, 2010

From Katie:

Thank you for taking the time to read my letter. This last year I have fought alot of heartache…and now am lost…I had to give up my dream job, because it was harmful, I met and felt deeply connected with an amazing man, but that slipped through my fingers as fast as sand, I still don’t understand why I feel like we were “meant to be”…and most now I’m unsure of how I fulfill my dreams or what my purpose is…it all seemed so connected…and I cannot seem to stop the hope and un-realistic dreamings that this fellow will return, and with that my dream job, and my dreams all again seem to be together..or that it is all tied together…I feel like I’m losing my mind…I know it won’t happen…fate has seen to that…but I am internally conflicted…how do I get unstuck and move forward, or stop the hope of what was and seem convinced will happen, …and find myself again….Thank you for your thoughts….

Inspirations from Binah:

Never give up dreaming, for it is our dreams that keep us moving forward, ever reaching toward our goals. Your dreams are telling you the direction of your life; they show you the world of possibilities before you. It is not your dreams that are creating conflict, it is the attachment to what was. Release your expectations so that you can move from the past, into the future.

Begin by creating a ritual to cut the hold you have on the physical incarnations of your heartache. Set your sacred space with incense of pine or cypress to call in the purification energy of Geburah. Stand in your circle of power and focus on releasing all the binds. Meditate on the Tower card of the Tarot, feeling the flash of lightening that cracks open the cords that are keeping your dreams confined.

The stormy red flashes burn the visible layers around love and job, bringing them back into their most divine essence. The shells turn to ash which fertilizes the soil so that in its place, your dreams can grow anew. This time, they grow without expectation or attachment. You release the old and focus on what you need in order to be emotionally, physically and financially happy. Success, abundance, growth… do not put names and faces to what comes, just flood your space with the energy. Use essential oils of cedar and nutmeg to continually balance the strength of Geburah necessary to stave off all attachments to the benevolence and indulgence of Chesed. From here, you proceed unencumbered, once again free to embrace your bliss.

Why can’t I end an affair?

January 26, 2010

From Yvette:

I wanted to know if i am on the right track with my life. I am a very loving women who cares for children in her home as a dayhome provider and am married to a loving husband and have three grown children. I had an affair with another married man and thought it was over but i can’t seem to end it. I know this is wrong but can’t seem to end it. I try hard but we seem to be drawn together for some reason what i don’t know. It first started when i lost my first grandson over three years ago and i was using drugs and booze but have been drug free and alcohol free nearly two years . I know if i don’t stop it i will lose everything. can you help me with any reason why i don’t end it now. thanks a whole bunch

Inspirations from Binah:

In looking at your opening and closing questions, you find your true dilemma – which relationship will nurture you on you life quest? Before you can move forward, you must choose between life with your husband and one with the other man, for there is obviously more to this relationship than a simple affair.

Choosing a path that deviates sharply from one that you are currently on may seem daunting, but if it is what is in your heart, then it is one you should follow. Yet breaking off something with someone you care about who may be greatly hurt can also be quite scary. The decision is one that only you can make and comes from understanding what you most need to find true happiness.

Take some time and evaluate what you get from both paths before you. Visualize yourself in the future, as if you were watching a movie on the screen. Ask Archangel Jophiel to clear you vision, remove any cobwebs caused by past addiction and grant you understanding. He will illuminate the projector and reveal a film that contains the hidden knowledge you seek. Watch carefully, for the answer lies in the smallest details. Make sure you watch it to the end, seeing what is in the depths of your heart. Though it may not be what you expect, know that this is truth and move forward accordingly. May the heavens bless you.

Is now the time?

January 26, 2010

From Kathy:

I have raised my 3 children on my own, the last one graduates this year. I know that there is something new and exciting just a head of me and I am eager to know what direction I am to be taking. Is this the time now that I will find a committed relationship with a special partner? Also I have wondered if I should retire from my present administration job and look into writing a book or becoming a life coach. I really look forward to your insight.

Inspirations from Binah:

One cycle of your life has reached its conclusion and as you look out toward your future, the road shows many paths that can be taken. Each one brings a unique combination of opportunities, and you have all the energy required to make them a part of your life. The question is, what do you want?

Take a minute and pose this question to your Higher Self. Sit in your quiet space, and ask to be shown what has held you back from finding a special partner or writing the next great work of literature. Enter the world of Netzack, the 7th Sephirah on the Tree of Life in Kabbalah, to explore your emotional energy and find where your passions lie. Tone Jehovah Tzabaoth to feel that fire energy of Creation, then call upon the great Archangel Haniel to guide you through your journey as you explore what you want and what is needed to receive it. Look for the light and the shadow, that which propels you forward and that which pulls you back. Be brave and receive all that there is, calling upon Binah, the Great Mother, when there is need in Understanding.

Once the path is clear, ask the Angels of the Elohim choir to work with you on any necessary planning to eradicate negative influences and find Victory in your journey. Step forward with confidence knowing that all that you want is there for the taking. You have the power to attract your heart’s desires, now is the time to exercise it.
