What is a Mind Storm? Can we create Psychic Storms?

April 14, 2011

Fraser asks:

Have you ever heard of a mind storm or a psychic storm?  At home, I have a bit of conflict going on at the moment: job, lifestyle, etc.  About 2pm this afternoon, I felt and could see with my inner eye, felt more than I could see, a wall of something I can only describe as a wall of terror; a storm of violence of unimaginable power and torment.  I saw it as an approaching wall of red, fiery energy, but felt all of the other stuff I have described.  I am going to sleep now to do a bit of astral travel to get to a safe place tonight, I hope.  I look forward to your input.

Inspirations from Binah replies:

In the movie “The Matrix”, Neo is filled with questions about the Matrix he feels is controlling his world.  All his life he has felt it, felt a power that surrounds him, manipulating his actions.  As he tumbles down the rabbit hole discovering truth previously hidden, Neo realizes that while there are those that intentionally manipulate the world, they can only be successful because individuals give them the power to do so.

“The Matrix is everywhere. It is all around us. Even now, in this very room. You can see it when you look out your window or when you turn on your television. You can feel it when you go to work… when you go to church… when you pay your taxes.”  -Morpheus.

The Matrix is energy, the energy of the Mind manifested into “reality”.  There are millions of lightworkers, coaches, authors, and healers that have been trying from the beginning of time to teach us one pivotal lesson, a lesson so important that it is the first axiom of the Hermetic Principles – the “Principle of Mentalism”: The All is Mind; The Universe is Mental.

What you felt that afternoon was the manifestation of all the conflict in your life.  You subconsciously focused all your energy into one vision, a storm of pure terror and violence so strong that it pierced through veils on a path toward physical reality.  You were able to calm the storm by going to a safe place in the astral, but it is vital that you neutralize this energy because it is feeding off your emotions and fueling your conflicts.  If left unattended, it will continue to grow and manifest itself through failed projects, anger and resentment.

Morpheus could only guide Neo toward a simple truth; Neo had to discover it for himself:

“I’m trying to free your mind, Neo. But I can only show you the door. You’re the one that has to walk through it.” -Morpheus

We each have the power to control the energy of the world, but that also means that we have to work together in order to create a united vision.  It is through compassion and mercy tempered with the force of our actions that we reach the balanced beauty that will show us the path to unity.  Sometimes, you have to make a willing sacrifice in order to create a reality that fills the needs of all involved.

The next time you feel the storm brewing, take a few deep breaths and visualize a stream of blue light flowing from your body directly toward the center of the negative energy.  Will this energy to cool the red fire with the power of love and compassion.  Continue to flow this light until the storm subsides.  Though this is only a bandage, it will transmute negativity into positivity in order to give you time to work on the source of the conflict via your spiritual and emotional development.

How can I explore my unconscious self?

January 22, 2011

Read Inspirations from Binah in Whispers of Spirit

Featured in Winter Solstice issue of Whispers of Spirit.

From Narissa:

My partner and I are going through some very big changes. We recently acquired a large property which we are in the process of converting into a multi-performance artist space. We are both artists ourselves, so this is a dream come true.

The problem is, I feel like we have no mechanisms for understanding where we are emotionally and spiritually through this transition. Neither one of us likes Tarot, nor many of the tools for connecting to personal energy… at least we haven’t found anything we like. We’d ideally like something that not only shows us where we are, but also helps us stay healthy. Our world is full of color and shapes, turning random stuff people give us into works of art. Any suggestions on what we can use to tune in?

Inspirations from Binah:

In reading your message, one simple word comes to mind: Mandalas.  Combining Sacred Geometry and Color, mandalas provide a way to focus energy, evaluate where you are, and heal.

The word mandala is Sanskrit for circle.  All of its design fits within this powerful shape, starting from the center point and pushing out to its completion.  It is a window to the unconscious, a sacred space to explore without bounds.  With each layer of color, you project your innermost feelings, enabling you to see and correct imbalances.

There are many designs available, but with your artist backgrounds, you should be encouraged to create your own mandalas.  Begin with a blank page or canvas.  Create a circle of any size; this is your outermost border, but not necessarily a part of your design.  Mandalas can be created with any shape, each expressing something different.  Refrain from using color just yet, now is the time to allow Sacred Geometry to be your language.  Starting from the center point, allow your artistry to take form.

When you are done, take a minute to meditate on the shapes you have drawn.  Do they feel balanced?  Do you have more curved/feminine lines representing a need to process or straight/masculine lines representing a need to act?  What do you find in your meditation on these shapes?

The next phase is the coloring portion.  Starting again from the center, choose each color with your eyes closed.  Let your creativity take over and guide the process, this is the best way to connect with your unconscious self.  Once you are done, meditate on your final piece.  What do you feel?

If you hit a point where you do not understand what you are supposed to learn from the mandala you have created, you can bring your mind into your processing by consciously applying your knowledge of color and geometry interpretations.  There are several websites and books which you can refer to that talk about the basic definitions of each shape and color.  Starting with an intuitive interpretation, and then enhancing it with a more intellectual approach, will open gateways to emotions and thoughts locked deep within.

Mandalas can be created when you feel you need them or even as a daily exercise.  Just like some people pull a single Tarot card every morning to understand the energy for the day, you can use a mandala in the same way.  When you need to work through a very specific energy, choose a prepared design and let the coloring-in process be your therapy.  You will be amazed at how much you can learn about yourself with each work of art you create.

Tip for purifying energy preventing economic growth

From Rustic Tonic

quarterly newsletter by M. Powell

Spell-Breaker by Rakadim

This is effective for spells that prevent economic growth or stability:

Fill a small white cup (glass or plastic) half full of dirt and place it in the far corner of your bedroom. Pray that the earth absorbs any spells sent against you and leave the dirt in the corner for a week. After a week, toss the dirt out of the house through a back door or window. Wait 24 hours before washing the cup with cold water.

Repeat as needed; reserve the cup for similar purposes – do not use for drinking any more.

Purification can be painful…

December 28, 2010
Purification

Purification by psd, on Flickr

The final week of the year has always been one of great purification for me. My ritual is to spend much of the week cleaning my home from top to bottom. Every nook and cranny is scrubbed until it sparkles. On the 31st, I clean my physical vessel as well. Hair treatments, face creams, manicure, pedicure… great care is taken to ensure that my external world is as clean as it can be. There is something about feeling the shift at 0.00 h that is more pronounced when the dirt of the previous year was removed to make space for an influx of clean energy.

This week, I began by moving into a new place. The energy here is crisp, but I have much work to do this week in order to tune it. Transmutation is in the air and I can feel the need to align energy. Like a grand piano, each string will be tightened or loosened, creating my own harmonic balance. Today I begin pulling out my sacred tools with care, thanking each one for their service in 2010 and asking them to create the conditions needed for an abundant and joyous 2011.

But what of my internal world? Purification is an ongoing process, but somehow in this final week it becomes more intense. Sometimes I fight it, holding on to people and attachments even though I know I should let them go. My memories of those years are always speckled with the internal struggle I felt, often overshadowing the night’s festivities.

The cleansing for this year has already begun and I vow to breathe into it, accepting the wisdom and integrating the understanding. Only a few days into the week and two cords have been cut -one was a friend, the other a student. The student I understand, for he is someone that sees a path lined with fear and is pushing too quickly to move through it even though he knows not where he treads. He is standing at the top of his personal mountain, shouting what he feels is necessary to reject the new world order, yet not willing to slow down long enough to integrate the influx of information he is taking in. He is unbalanced force; an overactive Yesod. I pray for his continued growth, for if he discovers how to harness his power, he will be a worthy warrior.

The friend is more difficult to comprehend, but just as necessary. While it pains me to know that he is not currently a part of my life, it was hurting me more when he was. He is on a quest, a valiant journey of self-discovery. I, too, am on a very similar quest. Many times our paths have crossed and lead to nights of scintillating discussion and debate. I have learned much from him, for his mind grasps concepts that mine can only hope to understand. He is a man of great knowledge who is searching for his purpose.

He is also a person that lives in a world very different to mine. Time and time again, I have attempted to penetrate his world in hopes of standing within his inner circle of friends. And while I know that he values what we share, I am not of his ‘kind’. This brings to surface issues I am still working through, triggering wounds from my youth. I have always been able to blend into almost any group for a short period of time –a gift I cherish for it allows me to learn much through personal experience. Unfortunately, I do not have the chameleon’s ability to change my physical exterior, thus even while I feel a connection to the group, I do not make the full transformation to become one of them.

Eventually, the group closes before me and I am left with a small peephole into the clubhouse. I can still see what they are doing, but I am not invited to participate. If I am lucky, I am not rejected completely, allowed to stay on the bench and occasionally called into play. In order to not cause waves, I often bow out gracefully, preferring to see the growth of the group than to stay within it and cause conflict. There are usually one or two good friends that keep my connection to the group alive, allowing me to live vicariously through their adventures, but it is from here that my issues stem.

You see, most people have a group of friends with whom they identify closely. Clothes, music, style of living… is all shared. When you are a chameleon that only connects with individuals, you get all the benefits of the friendship, but none from the group. On the contrary, groups do not like outsiders, so you become one of those people your friend contacts occasionally, meeting only when s/he is not occupied with group activities.

This is what happened once again with my friend. Now I must stress that there is nothing inherently wrong with this arrangement. Many of us have friends we only speak with from time to time and feel extremely connected to. As long as both parties are in agreement that this is the type of relationship they want, it can be healthy and rewarding. The difference here is that it is not the type of relationship I want to have with this person. He is someone I value as a friend and I want to be a part of his life, not just someone he calls when he is bored. So when I felt the familiar surge of emotions of being left out, I knew it was time to retreat and figure out why I once again attracted a friendship different than the one I really want.

This year, I worked in powerful ritual to manifest balanced friendships, where both of us want the same level of contact and depth. This person was a friend from before that work, so I think he slipped through the cracks. The thing is, if I feel the way I do, there is still an open cut, so I retreat into my personal space to figure out why those wounds are resurfacing when I thought I had healed them. Ideally, I should be able to adjust my expectations to match the level of friendship a person is able to offer, but if that is not the case, what do I do? That is on my list of personal work for 2011. Thanks to this year’s work, almost all the friendship I currently nurture are balanced, but this experience has shown me that there is a deeper layer I still need to explore. I only hope that in the future, when we are both healthier, I once again cross paths with this friend to share our adventures of growth and exploration.

I am overwhelmed with messages, help!

December 7, 2010

From Acorn:

The situation that I am having is that once I open myself up to channel it doesn’t take long for me to become totally overwhelmed with messages. How do I control the intensity and shut it off when I’m ready or have been exhausted? Tonight I went to an energy center and opened myself up and for about 2 hours, receiving constant messages (and drawings).  From whom or from how many I don’t know, but time came when I needed to leave and compose myself.  Even now there are still energies that are trying to come through.  What do I do?

In love and light.

Inspirations from Binah:

Being overwhelmed is a common occurrence when you first begin to channel.  It is easy to become so excited about the messages and contact, that you forget to use your power to modulate what comes in.  When you proceed as you are, with no restraints, there is a real danger in doing damage to all levels of your body: physical, emotional and spiritual.

When you open yourself to channel, you put a heavy burden on your physical self.  The human body was not intended to hold that much light, therefore you must take extra care of yourself through healthy diet and exercise.  Eat a hearty meal before the session to give you the energy needed to maintain your connection, nourishing your physical self.  As you begin, set your intention to modulate your vibration up to match that of the being you are going to communicate with.  Doing this will allow your body to slowly amp up its resonance instead of shocking the body with a giant leap.  When you are done, take ample time to rest, giving your body what it needs to return back to its earthly vibration.

On a spiritual level, a word of caution against opening yourself to anyone and anything.  There is duality on every plane, and with Light comes Dark.  While there are many beings here to help humanity on its journey, their intentions may not be aligned with your own.  This is not to say that they will necessarily hurt you on purpose, but in their quest to communicate, they may not take into consideration that you are a human being with specific physical constraints.

It is recommended that you work with your Higher Self to identify a being, or set of beings, that you will regularly communicate with.  Set your sacred space to begin your session and instead of opening yourself fully, take a minute to commune with your Higher Self.  Ask for guidance on identifying who you should be channeling and let your Higher Self formally introduce the appropriate being.  Speak directly to this being and determine how you want the relationship to flow.  For example, let the being know that you will only allow channeling when you have set your sacred space and called in the energy necessary to protect your physical self.  If the being needs to speak with you outside of this time, s/he can work with your Higher Self to pass on the message, so you have time to prepare your body for the transmission.

The beings you channel may change over time, but the protocol should always be the same.  Make a connection with the being first through your Higher Self, determine how you are going to communicate, and then enjoy a free exchange of information.  If at any time you feel that your agreement is not being honored, kindly tell the being that you can no longer connect and ask him/her to go to the Light.  Your intentions will be honored and you can move on to work with another being.

May your experiences be filled with much learning and knowledge!
