What if the Universe is vying against me?
August 9, 2010
From Anna:
So what do you do to make yourself feel better when it feels like the universe it vying against you sometimes? So much bad stuff in so little time….and I know I am not the only one. What is it I can actually do?
Inspirations from Binah:
While the Universe does not deliberately conspire against you, it can be quite forceful when there is a lesson that needs to be learned. Until the pattern is recognized and corrective action taken, you can expect a continued flurry of tests. Instead of passively waiting for the next cataclysmic event to take place, be proactive and ask the Universe to use a gentler approach to reveal the message – such as music.
Grab your music player, load it with songs that define all your various personalities, and head into a sacred space. Ask your guardians to protect you and keep out any disturbances. Invoke your Higher Self and any guides that wish to aide your training. With your physical space set, it is time to begin.
Write the following questions on a piece of paper:
1. What is the lesson I need to learn?
2. What action should I take to learn this lesson?
3. What additional information will help me master this lesson?
From within your sacred space, ask the first question out loud and hit shuffle mode on your player. As the song plays, listen first with your ears and then with your heart. Contemplate the words; notice the imagery provoked by the melody; record how your body reacts to each sound. Repeat the song as often as necessary in order to fully comprehend how it answers your question. Record all you receive.
Repeat the same exercise for the next two questions. When you are done, remain in your sacred space as you ponder the relationship between question and song. The pattern will reveal itself, showing you not only what you must learn, but also the steps you must take. Your relationship to the music has provided the basis for you to receive a direct communication from the Universe, discovering the reason for its forceful testing. As Henry Ward Beecher once said, “Music cleanses the understanding; inspires it, and lifts it into a realm which it would not reach if it were left to itself.” Now it is up to you to heed its advice.
