When am I going to be able to work with my healing gifts?

July 27, 2009

From Martin:

Since I was a child, I have been having spiritual experiences. They come and go. Let me tell you some of them. Twice I saw the future (in my head) and it happened 10 – 15 minutes later exactly like I saw. I’ve seen orbs of all color floating in my room when I was in my bed. I’ve smelled spirits. One time I had kidney stone and a spirit woke me up in the middle of the night making a sound of wings flapping. I woke up and I knew it was a spirit because of previous experiences. I couldn’t see it but I could feel it walking around my bed and it got close to me and gently put it’s hands inside my body where the kidney stone was. I could feel the hand energy inside me holding the stone for about 5 minutes. I was healed and my kidney stone disappeared. I’ve done channeling for more than a year with a woman. She has never channel in her life until the first day I did energy healing on her and she started to channel. Sometimes I can read people’s thoughts. It’s like the thought form travels in the air and passes though my energy field. Then I read it.

Anyways, these are some of the spiritual experiences I had. I’m very grateful for them. However, if you ask me if I am a medium or what I am able to do today, I would answer nothing. I’m not able to use any ability. These amazing experience come and go, but I know it’s for a reason and I believe one day I will be able to do healing on people. I was told many times by spirits that my goal in this life it to work with my hands and do healing.

Sorry for the long message, but I want you to understand why I want to ask you a few questions.
When am I going to be able to heal people and work with it?
What do I need to do in order to develop these abilities that I once had?

I know I have a lot of potential, but I’m not able to use it. It’s like I’m stuck. Once a spiritual guide told me I am like a rocket ready to be launched but I don’t know how to push the button.

Can you help me?

Inspirations from Binah:

The gift to heal is deep inside you and ready to be used, all you need to do is learn to tap into it. Just as a doctor goes to medical school to learn the basics of the trade, a first step to harnessing your power is to get some training as an energy healer. There are many techniques out there, so do some research and pick one that calls to you. To find a starting point, one method is to do a web search for Energy Healing and intuitively pick from the resulting links. You can also do the same by running your fingers down the spines of books in the energy healing section of a bookstore.

Whether it be Reiki, Ruach Healing, Chiois, Noetic Field Therapy or a general Energy Healing program, what you pick is not as important as getting the attunements and learning how to consciously tap into your healing energy. With training, you will awaken your own gifts and find a path that allows you to use what you’ve learned in conjunction with what you already do intuitively. Starting from an established base provides you with a firm foundation, giving you the freedom to explore… you may even discover a new healing technique based on the energy you are channeling.

In the mean time, practice. Reiki teaches you that it is just as important to give yourself healing energy as it is to work on others. Sit in meditation and place your hands in places you feel need healing. Allow the energy to flow and be guided by its force. Over time, and with training, you will discover that healing is about letting go of your fears, connecting with your Higher Self to ensure you are working for the highest good and letting the energy do the rest.

When I’m away from school, the sadness returns

July 26, 2009

From Evangeline:

I have been told that my difficulty sleeping could be caused by fear and an inability to trust in the process of life, which describes me to the max.  In my adolescence I was painfully shy and insecure and isolated, though I yearned to have friends.  I am a very social person so it was like I was starving.  I constantly lived with the feeling that I didn’t have enough of things that I wanted and needed.  Now I’m in college and it’s a world of incredible social abundance.  I have never been so happy in my entire life.  When I am actually at school, I sleep great.  My problem is…that all those years of sadness are still affecting me.  I worry that I still give off desperation sometimes and especially when I’m away from school I start think in a way that emphasizes limitation and lack.  So I guess…how can I trust the universe, and how can make myself whole?

I have tried affirmations and loving myself, and…I still have this problem.

From Inspirations from Binah:

Though your question asks about making yourself whole, it is possible that your feelings of fear and sadness are not coming from you. When you are at school, you are starting with a clean slate both energetically and emotionally. You have found an environment where you can thrive and realize the abundance of life around you. After so many years of sleepless night at home, the negative energy of fear and inability to trust can be trapped in the physical space and must be released. Just as you have worked on clearing your emotional energy, now it is time to clear the physical.

Start by clearing any physical objects that trigger negative thoughts. If your sheets remind you of restless nights, then get new sheets. Clean the space thoroughly and remove any items that are broken, unused or bring back strong memories of unhappy times.

When this is done, get a fire-proof bowl (preferably one made out of oven-safe material). Put about half a cup of Epsom salt in the bottom and enough alcohol to wet it, but not enough to create a pool. Use the rubbing alcohol that is greater than 85% by volume (70% will not work). Put this in the center of the room, away from any other objects, and light it on fire. Let this burn out completely, purifying the room.

Next, set a strong intention to clear the energy and grab a smudge stick or other clearing incense/resin of your choice – some options are sage, Palo Santo and Dragon’s Blood; use the one that calls to you. Light the stick and as the smoke starts to rise, start at the top of your head and move the stick all the way around and down your body clockwise. When you have cleared yourself, start at the closest corner to the north and move clockwise fanning the smoke so it touches the walls. Go through the entire area while reciting an affirmation of your choice, for example, “I clear all negative energy from this space and bless it with divine love and light.”

Keep the area clear with fresh flowers, crystals and/or candles. Work with your Higher Self to find the combination that works for you. You can also travel with a little kit so you can clear any room where you will be spending the night. With a clear space you will find that the issues of the past fade away allowing you to continue focusing on the positivity you have found.

We all have our own truth…

July 26, 2009

Take everything you learn, hear, read and experience to your Higher Self. Connect up to God and discern what is true for you. Don’t take the word of anyone else, including me. We all have our own truth, our own paths. Taking everything you learn, discerning what is true for you, making it your own, and then taking it out in the world to share is true teaching.

How do you deal with what you leave behind when you move forward?

July 26, 2009

I have often found that when I first enter a new phase of success, I feel the most amount of sorrow and loneliness. It is hard to explain why this happens without sounding like an ego-maniac, but I truly think that it is hard for people to see others around them attain success. We are conditioned to find the faults in their behavior or wonder how they cheated to get there. Even our closest friends can give in to jealousy and envy.

In the last few months, my life has reached new levels of happiness and success. Yes, there are rough spots, but the amount of growth on a personal, emotional, spiritual and financial level has been extremely rewarding. My greatest nemesis and triumph is over acceptance. I am working hard to find acceptance of all that is around me, though sometimes things accidentally slip out of my mouth before I can stop them, and then I find myself apologizing profusely. ;)

And yet, in that same time, I have lost the friendship of some that I thought were good friends, had organizations get upset that I am not following their exact rules and been pushed back without reason. I look at these at tests and work with my Higher Self to ensure that these are unavoidable casualties, but putting all that energy into trying to make others find acceptance over my choices can be exhausting. I’m not perfect; I make my share of mistakes, but I try hard to apologize and make amends.

So… if I feel like I am heading in the right direction, fulfilling my life purpose, being the best me I can be, why do the people around me find the need to pull me down or just walk away? And more importantly, why do I let their denial of acceptance over my actions affect me so much. I recognize that it is coming from their own fear, ignorance and/or jealousy, but it is still hard to accept.

All I can do is keep moving forward and be confident in that I will attract a new set of people that are strong and happy in their own choices and can therefore accept mine.

I encourage your thoughts and feelings. Let us learn from each others experiences…
